We are delighted to announce the mini-launch of a graphic novella by one of our own..
While we are now open at Chapelgarth, regularly running residential writing retreats, the memory of the impact that the pandemic had on so many female academics' daily life is very recent - and its effects are still very tangible!
When we heard therefore that one of our writers had spent part of the lockdown trying her hand on a visual representation ok UK Lockdown from the female perspective we could not resist finding out more.. We were so taken by Kate Carruthers Thomas' initiative that we decided we should celebrate with a proper mini-launch when she booked in for a residential writing retreat here at Chapelgarth.
We had been missing our regular 'GlobalTees' events, and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to reconnect with our retreaters - whether they were actually here with us and Kate - or further away. We asked Alice Wilson, a regular retreater here, if she would join us in a conversation with the author.. and we then decided that we should open the room to all our retreaters...
Please join us online on 7th OCTOBER at 6.00 pm
