WRITING RETREATS AT C H A P E L G A R T H

Celebrating and Supporting Women

At Chapelgarth we celebrate women's achievements all year round - and we like to think that we 'do our bit' to support women in a small way during their academic endeavours.

International Women's Day is a time to take stock, acknowledge all the strides that have already been made. Yet, it is not a time to be complacent.

With feminicides still being a terrible blight in every society, it is worth remembering on this special day  that there is so much that still needs to change within our society as well as in countries where women do not have access to education - the first step towards empowerment.

To mark International Women's Week at Chapelgarth, we will be platforming three of our wonderful female retreaters, who will be presenting their individual research topics as part of one of our regular GlobalTees Short Talks - Big Topics evenings. There is a common theme that runs through the programme: protest, liberationism and justice (and how best to deliver it). It promises to be a very stimulating evening.. Please join us if you are not too far away! To find out more details about the programme click here.
