Beat the #Lockdown2 Blues.. Academics unite and write! It's our FREE VWR again..
Who would have guessed that in November - known to all writers as AcWriMo (Academic Writing Month) Chapelgarth Writing Retreats would have its doors shut once again! It is quite ironic and also a real shame as there was so much we would have liked to do this month!
But - hey-how! - it is what it is. And if there is one appointment that I have missed that is the regular 'WellWriteWednesdays' which I established at the beginning of lockdown1. So many months later, some of our regular retreaters will have reached their goals, submitted chapters, articles, grant applications and even whole PhD thesis.. and yet some of them may be feeling that joining our virtual writing table is just what they need in order to get the writing done..
Frankly, November has not got off to a good start, what with the US elections, UK and Europe in lockdown, not to mention terrorist attacks in EU capitals (I was horrified to hear that one of our retreaters was having a night out in Vienna, where she is currently carrying out her research, on the night of the recent attack. Such a relief to hear that she is safe.
Anyway.. with all this going on around us, feeling part of a writing community which supports us and encourages us to keep going may be just what we need at this point.
I am delighted to offer a new series of regular weekly free Virtual Writing Retreats, starting
Tuesday 10th November 9.30-13.00 (and every Tuesday until the end of lockdown2).
